The future of autonomous systems lies not only in their ability to execute tasks, but in their ability to make intelligent decisions in complex and dynamic environments, while always maintaining context-appropriate human involvement in decision-making. Working with Applied Intuition UK is an example of our consistent efforts to understand the best technologies and pull them into our systems, we intend to explore how Applied Intuition UK’s AI-enhanced autonomy can deliver greater operational effectiveness, adaptability and mission success for our customers.
Matt Foster, CEO of Callen-Lenz

The agreement establishes a framework for the two companies to explore how artificial intelligence can enhance the operational effectiveness of Callen-Lenz's autonomous and remotely operated UAS platforms. The collaboration will focus on identifying opportunities for rapid adoption of targeted capabilities to deliver operational advantage.

By combining Callen-Lenz's expertise in UAS operations and mission systems with Applied Intuition UK's capabilities in AI-powered autonomy software, the companies aim to accelerate the development of next-generation autonomous capabilities that improve mission performance, resilience and operational agility.

The collaboration is expected to investigate autonomous collaborative behaviours that enable UAS to analyse mission data in real time, support informed decision-making during mission execution and coordinate actions across multiple platforms with reduced operator workload.

Applied Intuition is bringing commercially mature autonomy to market-leading UK platforms to deliver capability that matters. We have proven this technology works at scale, and we’re deploying it where the impact is greatest. This agreement builds on our growing work across global defence, leveraging autonomy to enhance personnel safety and strengthen force effectiveness.
Jason Brown, Global Head of Defence at Applied Intuition

The MoU reflects the organisations' shared ambition to advance autonomous technologies that support increasingly sophisticated operational requirements across defence, security and commercial applications.

Our agreement with Callen-Lenz reflects the interoperability of Applied Intuition UK’s autonomy software across a growing portfolio of British UAS platforms. We look forward to fielding this integration to enhance deep strike effectiveness and deliver capability into the hands of the UK and European Armed Forces.
Iain Lamont, Head of Applied Intuition UK

Through this collaboration, Callen-Lenz and Applied Intuition UK intend to identify opportunities for technology integration, joint development activities and future programmes that demonstrate the benefits of AI-enhanced autonomous mission execution.
