Callen-Lenz at the UK-Finland Defence Trade Mission
This week, Callen-Lenz was proud to take part in the UK Defence & Security Trade Mission to Finland, led by ADS Group Ltd, Department for Business and Trade (DBT) and supported by the British Embassy Helsinki.
We were pleased to exhibit at the Ambassador’s Residence on 7 October, engaging with Finnish defence stakeholders on shared capability priorities - from UAS and ISR, to dual-use innovation and austere environment operations.
Key takeaways:
- Finland is investing heavily in long-range air defence, ISR, and future Army upgrades.
- Strong demand for agile SMEs and European industrial collaboration.
- Defence exports and strategic autonomy remain key UK and Finnish priorities.
Callen-Lenz made strong connections across Puolustusministeriö - Försvarsministeriet - Ministry of Defence of Finland, Puolustusvoimat - Försvarsmakten - Finnish Defence Forces, and industry — including an exciting discussion with Atol Aviation on lightweight UAV structures using composite materials.
Thank you, to our BAE Systems Country Manager Finland, Venla Vainio-Puhju, ADS Group Ltd, Department for Business and Trade and Embassy of Finland in the UK for a valuable and well-executed programme. We look forward to growing our partnerships in Finland and across NATO.
